Art of the Title website

The Art of the Title website is dedicated to discussion of title sequences from a range of film and TV genres, uncluding thrillers. I looked at several examples for ideas of how to communicated enigma and how to set up the right expectations for audiences.

Dexter

Dexter's titles are made up of sequences of Dexter's routine in the morning, they are supposed to be similar to crime pictures, as the Creative director used to look at his grandfather's old crime magazines.

He also got inspiration from David Byrnes book of 'Strange Ritual'
